Frigid outside, cozy inside!

Frigid outside, cozy inside!

Is it cold enough for you? Who says you can’t do anything about the weather?

The glass we use for our doors and windows (LoE2-270) delivers year-round comfort in all types of weather. In summer, it rejects the sun’s heat and damaging UV rays. In winter, it reflects heat back into the room. During cold weather, the insulating effect of our windows has a direct impact on how your rooms feel. Typically, 75% of the exposed surface of a window is glass, and the temperature of the room-side of the glass directly affects the air temperature in the room. The better insulated the window glass, the warmer your room will be.

And that sounds pretty good during the arctic blast we are in right now! Stay warm!

Spiderweb Sash

Spiderweb Sash

This is a true radius TDL IG spiderweb sash. True radius – because it’s a true half circle. TDL stands for “true divided light” which indicates the glass is REALLY divided (not just pieces of wood clued on one piece of glass) and IG means “insulated glass”. Two pieces of glass are bonded with an air space between. Energy efficient and true craftsmanship. And we guess we don’t have to explain why it’s called “spiderweb” sash. 😉  Wouldn’t this look amazing on your house?

A little while ago we received the request to redo the door on the right, since the glass broke. The new door (on the left) will fit perfectly in the old doorway and it’s a perfect example of custom craftsmanship at its finest!
